WASHINGTON, D.C. — For the second straight year, Marriott International is offering promotional room rates for individuals traveling to Washington, D.C. for the AT&T Nation’s Football Classic™ at the JW Marriott Washington, DC and five other participating hotels. Events surrounding the Classic take place over Labor Day weekend from Thursday, August 30 through Sunday, September 2. The football game features Morehouse College vs. Howard University on Saturday, September 1 at RFK Stadium at 3:30 p.m.

The JW Marriott Washington, DC (1331 Pennsylvania Avenue NW), the official headquarters hotel for the 2nd annual AT&T Nation’s Football Classic™, is the location of several activities during the weekend. Open-to-the-public events at the JW Marriott include the HBCU Alumni Networking Mixer on Friday, August 31 in the Garden Terrace Room from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Happy Hours in the 1331 bar & Lounge from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on August 30 and 31.

The hotel will also play host to the Official Welcome Dinner on Thursday, August 30. The Welcome Dinner is for the participating teams, sponsors and special guests during the weekend.

Individual tickets for the football game are priced $25 to $50 (plus applicable fees), and on sale at ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets, the Howard University Box Office located at Cramton Auditorium and the Morehouse College Bookstore. Events DC reminds HBCU football fans that @NationsClassic is currently holding a Twitter contest for the chance to win one of five ATTNFC Prize Packs by being the first to correctly answer a trivia question. The contest runs through Friday. For the opportunity to win one of five ATTNFC Prize Packs, participants must be the first to answer trivia questions about either Morehouse or Howard using #ATTNFCgiveaway.
